Eating is one of life’s pleasures and we grow up developing our taste and love of different kinds of foods through our family, friends and other culinary experiences along the way. Unfortunately with our busy lives, we have often lost touch with the joy of sitting down and having delicious, nutritious meals either on our own or in the company of friends and loved ones. All the fast foods, package frozen dinners and ‘grab on the run” meals are becoming our regular meals and this is taking its toll on our well being.

I’m here to remind you to stop for a moment and be more aware of your eating patterns.  It’s not only what you’re eating but how and why you are eating which can have an affect on your health.  When was the last time you were mindful that the food you are eating was actually nourishing and providing your body with the rich nutrients it needs to perform at it’s best?

Research shows that many health issues can be reduced or in fact eradicated if there are dietary modifications, I agree but I also think there is more to it than that. There is no point in going on a restrictive diet if it makes you miserable! As a holistic practitioner, I try to look at ways to encourage a shift in your way of thinking because ultimately your compliance is the key and success in getting healthier will only happen if the eating plan is catered to what is real to you, then you will be happy and it will work!

I have recently heard the phrase “learn it , live it, love it” and that resonates with me so I’m here to give you lots of interesting informative health tidbits and a taste of what eating healthy can do to your overall vitality . Hopefully you will try it and like it!

I know every single one of you can make a massive change to your life – for the better – all with the foods you eat and some minor lifestyle changes. Maintaining a balance is sometimes the challenge so I hope to give you a helping hand with this blog by showing you simple and do-able ways to make good food choices, staying happy and keeping fit!
